Anyone know when they start airing on TV? I missed all last season because I had my DVR set to record new episodes and my stupid cable company didn't label the shows as that. BTW, I don't watch shows on a computer.

They will probably start airing them on US tv in probably about a month.

Are you sure about that? There's a lot of "probably's" in there!

I'm sure it hd something to do with their car being on the #1 car TV show in the world.

I've never had any issues with Final Gear torrents. Reliable and "safe". It's when you start using ones from those...less reputable....file sharing sites that you have to worry.

To be honest, I'd be more worried about the ads and java scripts, etc. that runon those streaming sites than I would about a torrent.

Ive only ever had one issue with a torrent and it was a piece of software, not a video file, and it was quickly quarantined by my antivirus software and removed.

hmmm. if theres interest in it, maybe i can write up a tutorial for using finalgear for those who are timid about putting a toe into the torrent pool (thats...the best analogy i could think of just now)

non-torrent users, ya'll interested?

Yeah, that'd be nice.

I gotta admit though, that buying the DVD's of the old seasons and playing them through the DVD player onto the HDTV was amazing after years of squinting at YouTube rips.

Streetfire usually has them pretty quick. Not the greatest video quality, but it streams..

I watched it Sunday night on Streetfire. Don't know if this is the same link, but the video quality looked fine on my computer monitor.

I've sometimes found it on Youtube as well, but they usually get deleted from there pretty fast.

Me too.

Granted, the delay to BBCA seems to be only a couple of months now, if that - especially since the first run is done un-edited over an hour-twenty. I think they're starting another James May Road Trip series next week. I'd bet the new TG will start after that.

Or... they're going to wait until the USTG series episodes run (which start next week).

Pretty simple.

Here's a good generic tutorial:

Also, if you're in the area, the FinalGear folks are planning a cruise out Old Columbia River Highway on March 3rd.

I'll admit, I had the PC plugged up to watch it on my TV. On a regular monitor (I looked after I reattached), it looks pretty good!

BTW, the torrents can be found in standard def (which is DVD quality it seems), 720p or even 1080p downloads. Also, if you're watching on Youtube/Streetfire, etc. Try expanding it to full screen and you might not squint so much ;)

I do expand to full screen, but most day-after YouTube/StreetFire uploads are "spotty" quality, at best.

And I can assure that the actual Top Gear DVD's (like made by the BBC and everything, no rip-offs) are very, very Hi-Def. Amazingly good.

Okay, cool. Wasn't sure as some folks aren't aware of the ability to do fullscreen with Youtube, etc.

One of these days when you pick up those 944 springs, I'll have to show you how a torrrent looks on the HD screen :) Hint, hint.

I have the misfortune of actually having once worked in TV..I often watch stuff online (not just TG) in the smaller window because the full screen expansion makes the image less sharp. Just me, tho. Y'all might feel different about it.

Blue stuff comes out of the exhaust!

Obviously the Lamborghini engineers had a meeting to discuss the car. The manager asked, "What would make the Aventador even better?" A brilliant man stepped up and yelled, "It needs an afterburner!" The room erupted in applause and thus all Aventadors come standard with an afterburner.

The alternate version has the manager asking how to avoid having cars getting so close to the Aventador while stopped at a red light. In this case the man yells "It needs a flamethrower!" And for the equivalent of a gun's safety, they set it to only work at high rpm's in which case the engine would be able to warn the unwary.
