OK, so I've got a GMC truck that I don't like that much, but it does the job and I appear to have exorcised most of the gremlins. But we'd really need an SUV instead of a truck so I'm putting it up for sale, with a view to either buying a Diesel Suburban or something like a Land Cruiser.
Plan A is to stick it up on CL and see what happens, but given that I'd rather get rid of it sooner than later, I'm wondering if it's worth sticking a $3.5k truck on ebay? I mean, is someone from the rust belt seriously going to come up this far West to pick up a rust-free (well apart from a little surface rust) '95 GMC Sierra?
My vote would be for Craigslist. If you want to sell it quicker, just drop the price. On the other hand, eBay can work well for getting some national advertising, and you'll be surprised how much local interest you pick up. Couldn't hurt to put up a cheap listing, and then pull the listing if it sells locally.
'95s have the revised interior with the old TBI motors. The '96-up with the Vortecs are usually easier to sell, and the values on the OBS (Old Body Style - 88-98 trucks) trucks in general is in the toilet, even in perfect shape (witness the Tahoe in in the $2011 classifieds for $1100).
Yep, it's a 4x4 extended cab short stepside bed. Actually, it probably would make a decent tow vehicle - it has the electrics and the bar, just no ball.
