Settle a argument

Towels are 3-4 days for me, but the rest of this is eye opening because any pants or shirts are once then in the dirty laundry 

I use towels more than I should. I moved to an apartment with washer and dryer and I'm still getting used to it. I dont have to spend more money to do laundry more often.

Paper towels, so yes, in the garbage. 

Although I do know people who reuse papertowels. 

Towels- once a week.

Pants- every time I wear them

Bathtowels only ever touch freshly showered Snow...  they get washed every one to two weeks.

I'm now concerned that if I reveal this information, I will be admitting to the world that I'm a disgusting mess.

Uhh...until they stink or are still damp the next day when I go to use them?

I think yall should start using white towels and you'll see what comes off when you dry yourself. 

Sheets, I change pretty often because I tend to sweat in my sleep sometimes and plus adult things. 

I have a lot of towels, wash clothes, sheets, pillow cases, etc. I learned it from my mom she has a E36 M3 ton of those things and so do I. Rotation stays fresh. 

I can't imagine reusing a tshirt, socks or underwear. 

Yall making me feel like a clean freak

I use mine and put them out in the sun to dry.......

After a week I go and buy another one and use the first one to wash my van :)

It's the darker colored towels that show all the skin and hair that come off while drying that makes me think they should be single use. Heels, ankles, and hands are usually dry and tend to come off after a hot shower, and I'm basically a bald headed Bigfoot. 

Hanging in the sun between uses is acceptable. UV radiation is pretty good at killing nasty stuff.

Do people not realize how much a towel exfoliates your body after a hot shower? Yes, even using a wash cloth, abrasive body wash, and scrub brush.

At least we all agree the toilet paper should hang over the front of the roll.

Toilet paper comes off the right hand side:

Towels and jeans twice a week, shirts, socks, and skivies one time use.

Towels get used twice.

Sheets get changed once a week.

Jeans i'll wear twice.

On a side note: I do not only appreciate the feel of a fresh towel or clean bedsheets more now days . I also consider changing sheets or doing laundry much less of a choir. It's just not such a PITA as it used to be when I was young.
 

It is weird how some things just get easier with age. Emptying the dishwasher used to be a pain - now it's a 3min quick thing while I think about stuff. 

On topic: a towel typically see 2 showers before it has to go in the spinning spa.

Towels used to go a few showers, but in the new normal I come home from work, put everything in wearing directly into the washer, shower, then throw the towel in too.  I've become Monk in the past week. 

Put me in the crunchy towel group. Part of that is due to 5-people sharing our washer/dryer, part of it is SWMBO's draconian rules for washing her own laundry that essentially prevents anyone else from touching it once she starts(and she has a bad habit of forgetting about it for several days), and partly is because IDGAF.

Clothes are usually 2x for me - I work from home & rarely leave the house anyway. Besides, my wardrobe is mostly GRM shirts & jeans/shorts, so it's not like anyone really notices whether I've worn them more than once.

To be fair you can ruin some women clothing by washing it with other things or the wrong way. Just like I'd never let anyone wash my denim (especially  dark) for me. 

Towels 3-5 depending on season etc.

Jeans and pants, use twice wash.

Kilt is a hard one as it's difficult to clean.  It's only been 'washed' a few times, but it get's other care between wearing (always wear skivvies despite the jokes, it's hygienic)

Everything else once and done.

Towels? No idea. Wife looks after that 100%

Jeans used to be every time, but since I read that you're not really supposed to do that, they go in the wash when they're dirty. I do have home/shop jeans and going out jeans so either one gets very little use per day. I also have work specific pants which get washed after each use. My shirts get exactly the same treatment. Socks and gitch are washed after a single use.

I shower at work and have 2 towels in my locker. They get switched out when they start to smell damp or musty

The towel forgets after 24 hours. 

Really, I use em til they don't smell so great. It can be anywhere from one to a few times.

Towels once a week. Clothing after one use. 

I used to work with a guy that wore the same T-shirt for a week. Fridays a group of us bet which of the five t- shirts would appear on Monday. We named each shirt and picked accordingly. One of Mike's shirts was so old it was called the nipple shirt due to being over washed.

Since I have 2 active towels and only use 1 per day, each one gets 48 hours to dry out before it needs to get used again.  The seem to last 2 weeks that way.

Oh yeah, I've done that at least twice. I don't touch her stuff without her direct supervision.

That's funny; I do most of the laundry in the house so my wife is suprised to hear when a shirt of hers is "hand wash."

2-3 times, then I get a new one.  Really depends on if it smells musty or is still wet then next time I go to use it.  In summer almost every day since I usually cut my hair over yesterday's dirty towel.

I have a buddy who's 2YO daughter almost died from ecoli, and changes towels every day, and dries his ass last.
