Anyone else done it lately? Walmart is selling them for $129(?) with 2 year contract. Currently paying $145/month for our two 3GS's with unlimited talk/text, and whatever data is standard.
Just wondering if y'all have found a better deal.

What's important to you? Low monthly costs or low cost of entry?
The overall cheaper option is usually to pay full retail for the phone and go with a non-contract provider. You should end up with costs in the $80-100 range per month if you buy both phones at full price. Over the usual two year contract that should work out cheaper than the subsidized phone, but it requires you to be able to spend over a grand on phones immediately.
Well, actually if you look at T-Mobile they essentially give you 0% financing on the phone over 24 months (or did the last time I looked), so that might be another option.

berkeley em & feed em fish heads. It's not like there aren't going to be 20 canoe threads per day regardless.
Before this thread goes to far, you have decided on a handset that you want (iPhone5), have you decided on a carrier (phone company) that you want to go with?
I wish I could help, I was due for an upgrade so I paid $199 for the iPhone 5S. I have AT&T. I've had great service from them, so I have no reason to switch. I do get a 20% discount through my company on my bill as well.

as I recall they force you to have their insurance until the phone is paid off... shame as you can get insurance for much cheaper from some third party companies... but I suppose that is how they make their money.
also you have to be on Tmobile... and depending on where you are might not be great (I have em and am happy with the coverage where I use it 99% of the time... wasn't with att and when we moved from att tmobile had the best value
