Not having much luck with my lowball offer on a leftover Hyundai, I decided to take a look at late-model used cars.
Cars.com and autotrader.com are the biggies, of course. Not all dealers subscribe to both or either. Aside from looking at dealers' individual websites, are there any other sites I should be looking at?
Depends on your area. We just got lucky with my last one that we drove by and saw it. There are a ton of the Buy here type places on CL usually.
Usually the big dealer groups will have 1 website for all of the individual dealers under that dealer group. Typically though, they are advertising less and less on Cars and Autotrader.
Some dealers list on eBay, so it might be worth the effort to include it in your list. I noticed the prices listed there are often a bit lower than their advertised prices elsewhere for the same vehicle.
This is a dealer site where we found our certified pre-owned Focus. Drawback is it only looks at a 100 mile radius by zip code. But you can change the zip code to widen your search.
One of my friends just bought a new vehicle and had good success with car guru's. I'd try Craigslist or maybe even the online classifieds section of your local newspaper.

I'm looking at dealers because they seem to be the primary source of slightly-used cars - i.e. 3-5 years old, under 30k miles.
yeah you're probably going to have to go to big name dealerships and get an off lease vehicle for the mileage you're asking for... those vehicles are also in high demand usually, so expect competition.

That was my experience when we bought our '14 T&C a couple months ago as well - one with ~30k was maybe $5k less than new, while one with ~50K was 50% of new. Guess which one I bought?
