I get the charity and advertising value of fixing a victim's car for free. A lovely gesture, that.
But then they went all 'Pimp My Ride' to the tune of $10k, they went ahead and did the work - but then say they can't afford it at the end of the text. Are they really appealing to the internet at large now for help pay for tint and stereos? I wish they had kept that last part to themselves so I could feel good about my fellow man for two paragraphs in a row.

I believe what is meant is that the whole project couldn't be afforded by just one place. It took many to make it happen.
GLAAD to see it was fixed!
In a less reported story, is was said that the new 1100 watt stereo was set to play an endless loop of the song from the '80's one hit wonder, The Weather Girls.

Oh. Well then that is swell. I'll just assume you are right so I can feel better about humanity as I move thru my second meeting of the day filled with shiny happy people.

My thoughts exactly.

Damn you piqued my curiosity and it wasn't nearly as good as I hoped. It was the usual cesspool of Yahoo/AOL/Youtube/MSNBC comments.
It's cool that the shops took care of that for him. I've never understood why people feel that defacing a car is ok. I get angry when people even write stuff in the dust or mud on my cars when I haven't had the chance to wash them yet.

10 G's is a lot of cash. Video evidence I's very good in the case of vandalism and its well within budget. Catch my drift?
Funny to see Advance Auto as a contributor since the one I worked at was chock full of homophobes. One of the many reasons I no longer work there.

I agree, the article is kinda badly written but I think what it meant was that the work was done at one shop and the others helped with covering the cost of the work, not that anyone is asking for money now.

I'm not going to read it.
I'm sure it's about as worthless as any other tard-laden comment thread that turns into a hateful circle jerk.
