A few years ago I started searching for what is available in diecast cars. In 09, I began collecting HotWheels that I liked and a few months ago I began buying some Used diecasts that I liked. Most are at least a decade old and many are older than that.
Some of the cars I've found I've never heard of or seen before, but I liked them, and bought them. Most of mine are 1:43 scale race cars. It seems that NASCAR dominates the 1:24 scale race cars and really high dollar brands dominate 1:18. Last night I had time to take a closer look at what I'd bought and I decided to share them with you.
I'm sure that many of us would appreciate everyone showing their collections here.
Many of mine have scuffs and scratches on the packaging and I didn't have time to clean and dust them so they are as I received them.
This a sample of one of my all time favorite cars. One of the first plastic models I built as a kid was a D-type.

Only stuff I have that isn't 1:64 is 1:10th, electric, and VERY fast. Not diecast.... sorry!
I don't know much about this one except it's apparently a 1L Abarth.
This is another one of my favorites. IMO one of the best post war front engine F1 cars.
This one has good detailing for a 1:43 scale model.
I may be weird but I don't "get" collector toys. I understand that they may appreciate in value but keeping a toy in the box defeats the purpose of it being a toy. And yes, I feel the same way about the $200 1:18 ones. Take them out and drive them around your desk and make car noises. It's good for the soul.
Unfortunately many of the models from Italy have these stickers on the package.

I'll probably be moving within the next year so it doesn't make sense to do that right now. Plus I may decide to resell some of them. In the future I will probably display them properly. I hope a "man-cave" is in my future.
This is my favorite of all so far. I'm sure that won't surprise anyone here. It's an Anson 1:18 scale. On the bottom it says "1957-1973 Lotus Super Seven and 1973 on Caterham Super Seven".
I have a 1:43 917/10 by Solido that I putter around my desk. I also have a Quartzo 1:43 Kremer K3 that doesn't move much, but I'll occasionally make vroom vroom noises with it.
My collection at home is mostly in boxes.
The 1971 2L car is almost identical to the 3L.

I've been wanting to see a Danbury Mint model up close to see why they cost so much so I bought this 41 Chev. Deluxe Convertible to check it out. It's a 1:24 scale. They are detailed considerably more than most.
I love 1:43 myself. I need to get more...
1:24 scale C6.R signed by all the drivers of the 3 and 4 car at Petit in 2008 when Covertte Racing finished 1st(#3 car) and 2nd(#4 car). Johnny O asked me if he really want me to have him sign the #4 car.
I've got a few.
1/18 scale:
Porsche Carrera GT
Porsche 911 (993) cabriolet
Porsche 911 (996) Carrera
Porsche Boxster
Porsche 356 type a
Pagani Zonda
McLaren F1
Lamborghini Murcielago
Shelby Cobra concept
Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII
1/24 scale:
Nissan 350z coupe
3 Nissan 350z JGTC car
Nissan R34 Skyline
Subaru wrx (bugeye)
Ill check eBay when I'm bored to see if I can stumble across a deal. I could really get into trouble though since there are some really badass....and expensive 1/18 stuff out there.
Edit: this formatting looks fine typing it but then the list gets all smashed up, damn phone
In reply to Anti-stance:
That C6.R is awesome, great souvenir!
In reply to Anti-stance:
You've got one I don't ever recall seeing, the Inaltera. Good looking car IMO.
In reply to Lancer007:
I'd love to have some of the better 1:18 cars. So far I haven't found one I car afford. The detail in those cars is incredible.
I found a collector's forum recently in which one of the collectors posted his 1:18 collection. They were displayed in custom, lighted, mirrored, glass cabinets. Awesome! If I can find it again, I'll post a link here. It's well worth the time to check it out.

The Inaltera I had never seen before either. I must admit, I bought it because it was cheap and cool looking and wanted a 1:43 scale while I was at Sebring in one of the vendor tents. I bought the not as cool 330 though.
Same goes for the C6.R, I think I got it for $20 at Petit in 08. I waited in the long Corvette autograph line. In all the years of going to Petit, I never did the autograph thing because I don't care about the little pictures they hand out. But a diecast is another story. They were starting to turn people away but the people running the line(not the drivers) saw I had the car and let me be one of the last ones.
This is an Autoart 1:18 BMW M535i. I own a real one as well (per my avatar), the only difference is the model has a tan interior instead of black.
I'll post some of mine when I (if I ever) get home. Not as cool as some of these but I started collecting them when I was around 14. I haven't bought one in probably 15 years.
