I tend to gloss over them as if they weren't even there.
But I am glad that they're not a mile long list of everyone's preschool achievements.

I read them on occasion but mostly don't notice them.
I actually changed mine a couple of months ago for the first time in 5-6 years. It may be another 5-6 before it gets changed again.
On a few other forums I use:
"95% of the time more throttle is the answer. 5% of the time it ends the suspense."
Mine describes my personality so well that I doubt I will ever change it. It came from Seth.
Speaking of, where did he go ?
I like signatures fine, so long as they're a line or three of plain text, like here on the GRM. When they get obnoxious is when they are unrestrained and, like a culture of their own, morph into a laundry list of every blessed vehicle you ever owned and an unsolicited proclamation of your values and a quote from some two-dimensional movie character and your favorite bible verse and enough fonts to make the whole kit and caboodle look more like a ransom note than a catch phrase.
A forum signature, much like a political candidate's foreign policy, should fit on a hat.
You'll need to log in to post.
