I have a silver wedding ring, its supposed to look roughly forged and mostly black but apparently my job is rougher on it than i thought and its mostly silver now after less than 2 months

Im not terribly vain about it but i picked it because i didnt want something shiny, i hate tungston rings and it wasnt expensive. How do i blue/blacken/darken silver?

Is it actually silver? What kind?

use liver of sulfur.  in lieu of that maybe try egg yolks. they're high in sulfur.

I did a quick search because I was curious, maybe anodizing is the answer? Looks cool, would be easy to redo due to wear and tear.

This video seemed to do a good job of showing how to go about it.

Im a bit worried the anodizing might make it jeweled blue or something other than black so im holding out for another answer.
