Sounds about par for the course with the "I live through my kids by forcing them to do everything I wanted to do" crowd.

I'm with you. (Some)People are just stupid (or any other choise words you want).
I wonder how many people he has pulled over for 5 over the limit wound up in the hospital. This is a dangerous cop with a gun.
And he's teaching the kids what by this? Oh, I see. How to abuse power and the system to get what you want instead of sportsmanship.
The worst part outside of the sportmansship, is the other cops in the county. Now thay all have to live with this doofus leagcy courtesy of some underendowed napoleon wanna be. I feel sorry for the Sheriff.
I've coached for 15 years. I see this ALL the time.
Most modern youth parks are now intentionally laid out to keep adult fans well removed from the action. No gates to the playing area, criminal background checks on all coaches, even bleachers in the outfield with no where to sit up close.
I don't fell sorry for the Sheriff at all. The minute Marshall signed the complaint identifying himself as "Patrolman Marshal", he admitted he was under the authority of the Sheriff. If the Sheriff can't deal with this problem swiftly and quickly with a very rapid dismissal, he deserves what is coming.

Exactly. As if the job isn't hard enough without having to deal with this guy being a complete turd.

Where's that eye-rolling smiley that indicates exasperation? You'd think the parents would be all about showing kids how to be enthusiastic without being rude or worse.

See my post and cb's reply above.
You see the same thing with the youth MX classes sometimes. All it takes is one jerk to ruin everybody's day. 'I spent $4,000 on that bike and your gear, now get your ass out there and ride. If you don't win, keep going.'

I agree.
Were you suggesting I was being rude or worse??

You're a rational guy! I'm sure you were a paragon of virtue and self-control. I wonder if it confuses them when you start cursing under your breath in GRM forum word filter substitutions.

+1 million My little league experience (in the eighties) was misserable. The coaches of certain teams were able to cherry pick good players, I always wound up on the team with the worst players and worst coaches. I don't know why my parents ever let me play in that organization.
No, the worst part about this article is that the author suggests that he may not be fit to be a youth coach. Did it ever occur to anyone that hes much more dangerous to society with a BADGE?!
