the DA is making things right by doing all that, i think it'd be going overboard to (or sinking down to the morons level) to bring a suit against the city. i'd be happy with simply sending the moron cop packing.

I can't believe that. I would have a hell of a criminal record, if I got arrested every time I got in a fight in soccer. I am sorry but kids are going to get hot in the head and get in fights over sports.
Yep, the DA's trying to make it go away before they get sued. They're half way there: time to axe Deppity Doofus.
But it will probably take an angry plaintiff's counsel with a good grasp of the local media (are sheriffs elected out there?) to make that happen.
I was thinking about this last night...why didn't the kid who did the punching get assault charges filed against him? Maybe because of the beaning incidents but it seems that you could argue a pitch can go wild by accident as opposed to punching someone in the guts by accident.

I'm sorry but Mr. Marshall should hire an attorny who doesn't implicate him in conspiracy in press releases... preferably right after he is fired and jailed for filling false criminal complaints or whatever laws they can find to put the piece of E36 M3 away. There are probably others in local law enforcement who should be seeing the inside of a jail cell as well. Is it really acceptable to arrest and charge a kid because your buddy wants to influence events at a little league?

He didn't get charged because he's the Deputy's son.
