There HAS to be an answer to this SPAM, almost 6.5 pages of the same thread title by the same person.

Holy crap was that little Indian dude busy last night/this morning.

It's a double edged sword.  If you make it harder for the spammers to register then you make it harder for new users to register.  I know a site that went all out anti-spammer and it's usage went way down because new users weren't replacing the ones that wondered off.

Stuff like this seems to happen every couple of weeks. Always overnight before the mods get a chance to jump on and check things. Seems like every time it happens, it's fixed within the hour. Like, "Oh drat, I guess I have to wait to check GRM until after I eat breakfast instead of while drinking my first cup of coffee."

This is probably as good a place as any to ask about this: what happens if I fat finger the downvote by mistake, then immediately upvote it? Does it cancel out?

Interesting. I vote your post down it goes to -1, I vote it up it goes to +2. Apparently there is power in positivity. 

Dunno how the downvote feature is gonna work out, but it's pretty cool that you guys are trying new stuff.
