my dad has an old 1/2" drive S-K set thats got the same green case.... I look forward to one day when Its mine... :)

I sure wouldn't admit that you want to kill your Dad on an open forum. You won't be able to pull a Caylee if you do.
My dad has that same green case too. I was waiting for it but then I got my grandfather's set of Snap-Ons from the 40s.
my dad's tools were all SK. he worked at the local parts store and probably got a deal on them.
my mom's fiance has an SK 1/2" socket set that he bought brand new in the late 60's.. they are all 12 point sockets, and a few of the more commonly used ones on the farm equipment (3/4, 7/8, etc) are all but rounded off.. the breaker bar is still in good shape but not quite as straight as it was when it was new from the 6 foot cheater bars, and the ratchet is deadly if you try to put any torque on it at all- no doubt caused by the same cheater bar that tweaked the breaker bar... i wonder if he could get them replaced under warranty now?
