My parents have a McNab and an Aussie/Sheltie mix. Both are great dogs. Very smart and very friendly. The McNab's only fault is that she can be too friendly; she's a big licker and jumps up occasionally when she's excited. She also thinks she's a lap dog which can be a little painful as she weighs around 60 lbs. The Aussie/Sheltie mix is very sweet and used to cuddle us on the couch when she was younger and could still jump easily.

My favorite bit of dog trivia, is that Mastiffs were bread to guard the monastaries in Tibet, and either the Lasa Apso or the Shi tsu was bred to wake up the Mastiffs.
