OK.....small little go-kart with an OHV Tecumseh 5hp engine. dies without warning under full throttle and then is very hard to restart.
Carb was cleaned. fresh gas.
any ideas? until it cuts out, runs great.

Mine did that. Had a bunch of crud in the gas tank. I fooled with it for awhile, then got fed up and went and bought a $130 6.5hp engine from Harbor Freight.
did the 6.5 make it faster :twisted: ?

Sounds like you're ready for a 'Busa swap.
According to a small engine mechanic I know, Tecumseh engines are the equivelant to Lucas electrics: fine when they work, but don't expect them to. Ever.
