I have a blackberry copy (LG900 with Net10) … at least it has a qwerty keyboard … tiny keys, hard to see, and use … but the biggest problem is how easily it will butt dial
I'd LOVE to have a flip phone with a qwerty keyboard … something .. anything to protect the keyboard from my fat butt
So of it comes out in November and is 700, that and wait until March and get it for 199.
So I bought another cheap used Captivate Glide from eBay a few months back, my original was a lot better after rooting, but eventually the screen went out. I've rooted my newest, new-to-me, Captivate Glide too, and it has been working swimmingly, no real complaints, other than poor cell signal in my office, but the old one wasn't great there either.
I bought SWMBO a refurbished iphone 5s to replace her 6 year old iphone 4. While at ATT getting a new SIM for her new phone (5s needed a smaller SIM), I played around with the PRIV again, the tag had it listed for $339. I didn't even have to convince SWMBO, we were bringing it home with us.
The young lady helping us finished with the new SIM and transferring apps/numbers from the old phone to the new phone, then started setting up a new PRIV for me. She had an issue, didn't tell us what it was, only that it required speaking with a manager. ATT lady disappeared for a bit, and returned with bad news, the price was a type-o, it was $639 not $339. I didn't make a big stink, I asked if they'd still honor the price but they wouldn't. Allegedly if there was a price error on anything but phones, they'd honor it. Whatever, no PRIV from ATT store for me today.
On a lark, when we got home I googled Blackberry PRIV, and this was the first search result:
Unlocked BlackBerry Priv On Sale For $299
Which lead me to this eBay listing:
BlackBerry Priv STV100-1 -32GB 4G LTE GSM AT&T Black- (Unlocked) Smartphone New
So I now have a new PRIV ordered, cheaper than the "misprinted" price at the ATT store. Should be in my possession late next week.
My wife has a Private and loves it.
