I race essentially that exact car. I bought mine in rough shape but with some very nice parts for $10k, and have about $25k in it now.
On the basis of lap times vs. dollars there's nothing better, seriously.
At the biggest SCCA regional at Summit last year I was low lap time of the 3 day event. This includes GT3 cup cars, NASCAR road course cars, IT and GT everything, and all the open wheel cars. A good F1000 or Atlantic would be faster. And motors are $2k and available every day.
Buy it.
can those be made street legal? it looks like it has provisions in the body for headlights but is that just for night racing?
I think you'd have to have lights and "bumpers" mounted on stalks to meet the minimum required height. I'd recommend a lexan front bumper so you can still see where you're going
Then good luck with the speedbumps, the ground clearance on these is nowhere near the 4" you need to clear civilized first-world speedbumps, never mind the bigger ones you might run into.
Anything can be made street legal
Reserve not met. I bet the reserve is not close to the starting bid
Ah unknown reserve...don't be too surprised if it's on the high side of the 5-digit range then. I've seen what Radicals normally sell for and this one would fetch $40k very easily.
How is this a smoking deal? Do you know what it will sell for? The price means nothing when the reserve hasn't been met.
$16,500.00 is the no E36 M3 reserve, a family member is having health issues and that forces the sell.
