As I get older I am getting slower and slower, went in for my annual physical and they found completely crashed Testosterone and magnesium levels along with damage from the improper medication that I was give. Been supplementing with a magnesium drink that they sent me home for with for the last week and man do I feel like a million bucks. Start with TRT in about four days for the next three months as well along with a smattering of other things.
Anybody else dosing themselves up with something. I have no idea what the magnesium works as well as it does allegedly B levels were very low as well which can be fixed over the counter.
From what I've read, almost everyone is deficient in Magnesium.
Big fan.
Ever since the spleenening, I've been rocking immune system helpers, usually 'Immune Support Gummies' from Costco.
Delicious AND effective.
Putting magnesium on my list of "vitamins" to take in the morning, thanks.
Can you just lick a Porsche engine case instead?

I thought this thread was going to be about things people do that doesn't work, yet they continue to use and promote it, I was all ready to say that they normally call it "Fish Oil" when it's for human consumption.
Scotch cures most of my ailments.
I just take a Cal-Mag Vitamin D combo in the morning.
Speaking of Vitamins. http://www.amazon.com/Nature-Made-Cholest-Off-Plus-Softgels/dp/B00BJV0CHU <-- that stuff is legit and will lower your cholestol by 20% when combined with diet changes. I got about a 5% reduction from straight diet, but this stuff helped big time.
I'm probably going on testosterone supplements soon. I really hope it makes a big difference in my energy levels. I've had constant fatigue for years.
Had some other blood tests done that I haven't got results for. Maybe I need magnesium too?
I've had my testosterone checked and its OK. Dr. added Vit D tablets a while back. I need to get the magnesium checked.
Isn't that what those metal fire starters are made of?

I prefer bourbon. And yeah, the wonder drug for what ails you.
My doctor advises that dark chocolate is a good source of magnesium, so I eat like pounds of dark chocolate every day. The health benefits are undeniable!
Just keeping yourself hydrated can make a big difference.
Suggest not using scotch or bourbon to hydrate.
Everyone get your thyroid and testosterone levels checked somewhat regularly! And make sure to get all your vitamins and minerals! These are all really important lessons I've learned.

Mine were fine before the great doctor debacle. Supposed to be 360-1100ng/dl mine was 110 the first test. Really hope that it helps because sticking myself in the ass with a needle for the next couple months is going to suck. If it works though I am going to continue it for a few years to see how I feel.

Yep, and IR flares for fighter planes, and costly lightweight car parts. Burns in a bright white flame that will get violent if you spray it with water.

sooooooo.... If I took a bunch and lit my farts on fire..?
More magnesium helped with my leg cramps. Get you potassium checked as well. The wife's was low post stroke and apparently that is pretty important for your kidneys to function properly.

Be careful with the Testosterone replacement therapies, I keep seeing those commercials about suing for all sorts of horrible things that supposedly happen to people taking them.
glad things are working out for you Microbe. I have really begun to hate "quack" docs for a while now. Finally got my mom to consider doc shopping after her cardiologist retired and his partner took over. She has come down with an extreme reaction to salt.. -any- salt in her diet makes her blood pressure spike and her heart to beat irregular. Doc just blows her off like she is imagining it.. just tells her " well, don't eat any salt"
Mom can only live on potatos and Bananas for so long..

If you're going to take supplements look for a GMP label (good manufacturing process). Pretty much everything the human body needs is processed better as food.
what you think may not be in the supplement. Year after year findings like this keep coming up.
just see if you have any froends on facebook that are talking about how great their super-excellent-and-totally-not-a-pyramid-scheme wraps and drink supplements are in almost every post and buy something from them... i'm sure that stuff totally works as good as they say it does and cures canceraids and gives you the stamina of a methed out 20 year old..

I am a biochemist this is my opinion and should not be construed as endorsement. Period!!
I have read the actual papers that have been published on the treatment and if you are under 65 and don't have high blood pressure and you take a estrogen blocker the pros out-weight the cons by miles. Especially if you use injections over cream. At least by my math.
Right now I can workout hard on a Sunday and still have trouble putting on a shirt on Friday I recover that slow. Never took that long until my levels dropped. My levels have been creeping up very slowly after I was pulled off the last medication so hopefully this will bring things up while they recover a bit.

As far as snake oil, anyone know about eastern medicine and supplements, specifically pine pollen?
When searching on a related topic I can across Pine Pollen and it seems like it is a miracle supplement, so I have my doubts about the validity of the claims.
I eat select Corvette wheels.
