Snow day.......

The Houston area has officially iced in for the day. Kids are home. I'm looking for Lamborghinis on Craigslist. I need to make more coffee.

I'm sitting here thinking about trying to get the golf cart started to try some science. "Does the snow provide enough slipperyness to drift a golf cart on turf saver lawn mower tires?"

Yes, even my lawn tractor can drift in the snow.

We have snow/ice blowing around and snow covered back roads. My kids are at school lol.

My snow blower will drift.

I was going to say that I used to drift the John Deere 318 with the snow blower all the time. It was the only redeeming part of being the one kid who had to run that stupid machine. I'm sure the golf cart will drift.

Well this golf cart's engine appears to not want to turn at all. So that plan failed.

That's ok, my sister totally called me out on actually buying a Lambo so I shut down CL in disgust at myself. It's that kind of day.

I'm honestly not sure which of our failed plans would have ended worse had it continued further. 

We might get 1/2" overnight tonight. For south Georgia, that's decent. It's almost 60* right now so I doubt the road will be a problem. I was hoping we'd get a little more since I now have a 4x4 with good tires on it. Seems like I could have some fun somewhere...

Pile the kids in the car, find a local HS parking lot, do donuts until they can't stop giggling.  Soak up the "you're the best dad ever" accolades . . . at least until Mrs. Deuce finds out.

At least that's what we do "up north" when we get ice storms.

Most of the time I'm glad I got out of my Jaaaaaaag obsession without actually purchasing one. Other times I remember how beautiful these cars are and I want one again.

Not crazy on the color, but I always liked the Espada's looks. Like a '70 Torino SportsRoof run through an olive press.

We got hit with a snow day here in North East Texas too.

I was out in shorts yesterday.

Beans and cornbread, brisket and fried potatoes for dinner tonight.

Got in the work vehicle this morning and the outdoor temp sensor said 19F.  Was comfortably walking around on a job site in short sleeves for 4 hours this afternoon (probably 60F).  School is canceled for tomorrow because we're supposed to get freezing rain/ice/1" of snow starting around 5 am...no wonder I can't get rid of this cold/crud.

Since I work at home anyway, the threat of Ice did nothing to change my day. Went for a run at lunch and there wasn't any ice in the whole neighborhood so I went for a nice but cold run over lunch.
