I know weather isn't exactly the most riveting of subjects, but I don't think I've ever seen snow in October. This is berkeleying wierd.
Just curious how the weather is treating everyone else.

How far north are you? I'm about 45 minutes south of Philly and I've only gotten an inch or so. I just find it bizarre that it's snowing at all
Almost nine inches of snow on my back porch in Connecticut. I've already plowed once and it's the heavy nasty kind.
And I was going to retire to New Hampshire...I'm tired of this E36 M3.
In reply to MG_Bryan:
I'm 20 miles north of Scranton. It isn't the first time we have had snow while the leaves were still on the trees but it ranks up there for quantity. I was expecting a dusting that melted in the AM. I am not happy to be wielding a shovel.
I just got done mowing the grass and edging the driveway and side walk. It's about 62 and sunny.
Sorry.
here in MN, we get snow in October every few years or so.. it's generally just a dusting that melts right away, but we did get 36+ inches in the Halloween storm of '91..
Bwahahahaha. Its a bit cool today, but no snow. The more I hear about climate change, the better I like it, since it seems our weather gets better every year, and others gets worse!
Snowing up here. I cleaned up the leaves this morning, and the snow started precisely at noon - just like the weather channel predicted. I'm really worried about my trees - already have a few broken limbs in the back. Not happy.
concord nh for me.. snowin pretty good.. snowblower gassed and ready to rock out in the snow.. wooo hooooo.
I planned on having the Chevy 4X4 PU finished and sold by Thanksgiving if the weather would hold, looks like that might not happen now. I don't do snow anymore, truck will hafta sit another winter till it's finished.
I'm just west of Gettysburg, PA. Somewhere between 12 & 14 inches of very wet heavy snow. Had to drag a tree out of our road so my wife could get home this afternoon. It's so wet my snow blower won't clear it. Shoveled the driveway twice already. I'm calling this the start of my new fitnes program!
I drove the Miata to work yesterday, with the top down. Today it's 32-34 and nasty out. This weather is bullE36 M3.
I'm on the MA/NH state line here. I had to drive a good 20 miles today running errands on town roads... on my summer tires. I got my winter tires for my Mazdaspeed3 from my storage unit but I left my torque wrench at home (d'oh), so they ended up as ballast. The MS3 didn't do too bad all things considered. I still wouldn't recommend driving on summer tires in the winter.
Wow, that's a lot of snow this early in the season.
I was in northern MI once and it started snowing at about 2 am, October first. Man, just 2 hours earlier and it'd have been in September.
The 1/2 mile dirt track up on the mountain cancelled racing tonight... something about 6" of snow on the track
Our 1/4 track typically closes at the first snow fall of the winter. I hope that isn't the case this year.
I just plowed for a second time. I can hear trees snapping all over the place. Big trees.
I have to leave for work at 6:30 am, so I'll have to go out at 5 and do it again.
3 - 6 of heavy and wet tonight, leaves still on the trees = damage & no electricity.
As much as I bitch about Florida, a gate and a golf cart are looking pretty good.
NYC parks department closed all public parks due to fear of trees falling. (Wonder if that includes Zuccotti park?)
Had dinner delivered from the local chinese food place. Delivery woman was a bit melodramatic about the cold (it's 2.5 short blocks from here), but earned an excessive tip anyhow.
Stay safe out there
