It is the 7th of November here in NJ, one week after a Hurricane.. and it is snowing.. not just a couple of flakes, but they are calling for up to 4 inches of the stuff...
Either hell froze over, I need to go hide in my bed till spring, or both

I was supposed to drive over the Berkshires last Tuesday, but got postponed due to Sandy.
Guess where I'm driving bright and early tomorrow during a Nor'easter?

Eh... It's just the 2nd coming.
In 1989, Hurricane Hugo tried to shove South Carolina into the ocean. December of that same year Charleston had the first white Christmas in something like 150 years.

I wonder if he's taking the turnpike from Stockbridge to Boston?
Our snow level is suppose to drop from about 5000 feet to 2000 feet by the end of the week. I am sitting at about 3500 feet at the moment. Still don't have all the damn leaves up.

You forgot the part where they are calling for 60* on Saturday.
I still have a couple cars that need to be put away for winter. I really hope they don't salt or worse, spray that brine.

Man, I did that crap ALL DAY Sunday. Sandy knocked probably 75% of the leaves off my trees. I filled my 5x10 utility trailer with 55 gallon bags twice, there's still a couple piles in the back yard.

I see what you did there.
I just drove across CT and half of NY thru that storm. It was really nothing at all, less than 2" and melting on the road - but you wouldn't know it from the pace of traffic. Average speed on my trip meter... 21mph. If I had installed that 20mm gatling turret over the summer like I planned... you guys would have seen me on the national news.
In reply to Giant Purple Snorklewacker:
that sounds like my normal speeds through Ct... I never saw so many people in a hurry to go nowhere fast
The snow mixing with the water being pumped from the subway makes the city look like a big brown sno-cone.

Well they usually say, "Don't eat the yellow snow," but in that case, I'd suggest not eating the brown snow either...

One of my trees is still holding onto its damn leaves.
most of it is gone now.. roads are went, the grass is still covered. Yesterday's gotta buy eggs, bread, and milk chaos is over.
I imagine a lot of people had french toast today for breakfast
We got about 6 inches worth in Newtown, CT. The snow started much earlier than they anticipated (they were calling for rain) and kept going through the night. With the drifting and tree cover in places, I had anywhere between 1" and 9" on my driveway. Now it's all melting pretty quickly...
Aside from last year's ice storm just before Halloween, this is the earliest I've had the snowblower out. Hopefully Sandy and this storm are not a good indicator of the winter we're about to have...
