Couldn't make it to work today due to snow. That's the first time ever, but we are getting hammered! Guess I'll have to work on the car. Don't you feel bad for me?

I do! I don't remember if you saw the thread I started a few weeks back.

On the 1st OK was HAMMERED with snow, Tulsa broke it's record for snow in a 24hour period (14"+), then it snowed again 3 days later (4"), then again 3 days later (10"+).

I couldn't go to work at all that first week, and the second week I had to have friends with 4x4 trucks take turns taking me to and picking me up from work.

Getting a ton here on the shores of Lake Erie as well. I live on a main road. At 8:30 this morning I could not see the drug store across the 4 lane road, there was so much snow coming down and blowing.
I work from home so the commute is easy but the workload does not decrease.
All the schools here and surrounding counties are closed.

I even heard that Put-In-Bay Schools were on a two hour delay. This is a school district on an island in Lake Erie. I think it is the first time I have ever heard of them being delayed. After all, it is an island that is about 4 miles long and 1.5 miles wide. The main mode of winter transport is typically a snow mobile or ATV

I tried to get out my house this morning and it was drifted shut. I had to go out another way. I then proceeded to hurry and shovel out the snow by the front door and my shovel broke. I made it to work on time in the XJ. I normally hate SUV's, and still do except for mine, which I'm glad to have right now. It's actually pretty darn fun. And to think I ALMOST sold it last week.

We always referred to that area as Put-OUT-Bay. Great summer area!

OT- We're supposed to get 5"-8". Just another dusting for us...

When it snows I look for excuses to go out.

A 300hp Subaru with studded snow tires will do that to a normally sane person.

Hell I've been using snow as an excuse in my snow tired 76hp awd

And my friends wondered why I wasted my money on a rear helical LSD

The weather service said earlier this week that there might be snow in San Franciso today. I was kind of hoping it would. People here can't seem to handle driving in the rain. Since I have nice train to ride to work, I figured snow or ice would provide hours of entertainment.

If iit did snow, the rain that was coming down whe I got up this morning completely melted it.

I just thought I would chime in here and annoy everyone with this nice piccy I took two days ago. Please note the position of my convertible top. Been like for the majority of the last few weeks.

Oh yeah, unless you live in Edmonton, Scotland, or the Canadian Territories, there's a good chance I'm farther north than you.

No snow problems here (9000 ft. in colorado - thank goodness for 4WD in the winter), but I want that car! Haven't even seen an M100 in years, I check the lists regularly, haven't seen one for sale within 750 miles for at least two years. I want one!

165hp Subaru with decent all seasons is much fun in the snow too.
