So I am at my desk minding my own business when I get a text from my wife. Apparently she found out the reason she had not been feeling normal the last couple weeks. She is pregnant! A quick trip to the doctor and it is confirmed yup she is pregnant. About 8 weeks along at the time (this was 2 weeks ago) and is due sometime in Sept. Not planned as she was on the pill but we have talked about having kids and all so all is good just wish we were better off financially. I will manage to pull in more cash I just need to get on it soon.
We have already decided to sell my old standard cab truck for something more family friendly. Some sort of SUV. Haven't narrowed it down to much so far we are ranging from a Cherokee all the way up to a 3/4 ton Suburban with a diesel. Prob looking at under $10k due to I have enough debt with school and all. Heck I would like to keep it under $5k if I can. Just gonna take some digging I have a few months and we always have the car as well.
But yeah between dealing with all this and my new site I haven't had a chance to post much. Kinda figure to I really need to get on the stick and finish the Olds or it just needs to go away. With the kid coming doubt I will have much time to work on it. Heck it doesn't even have a real back seat anymore lol.
"just wish we were better off financially"
Hahahahahahahhahahaa...soon you will look back on the days pre-kids and realize that you were swimming in piles of cash in comparison to after-kids.
But seriously, congratulations!
how did that happen?

Congrats. Our surprise is 3 weeks old today. They are rad.
Congratulations! What Ojala said above is 100% true.
$5K budget should get you a near perfect condition XJ Cherokee, or a very good condition Trail Blazer, Grand Cherokee, Exploder or Mountaineer.
BTW, don't unload all your toys, keep at least one of your project cars around. Garage therapy is a good thing, and you will need and appreciate it, even if you can only get it 20 minutes at a time.
Congrats!!! Buy a camera and take a E36 M3load of pics, they grow fast.

The adventure begins... Congrats to all of you. And don't worry, unless you can afford to retire, you're NEVER financially ready to have kids - but somehow it always works out. Good news!
Surprise! And congratulations
Thanks all. Yeah I am well set for cameras. The money thing will work out I know. I need to at least get rid of the extra cars. Almost makes me want to move back to the west side of the state in some ways but I don't want to live in that area anymore.
Congrats! It's quite the trip.
Raising a child is a lot like entering your first enduro race; You are terrified/ excited leading right up to the start line, and once you are flagged off, full of fear and concerns right to the end. Then you wonder how the hell the time went so fast.
Funny enough, kids consume cash at a rate pretty much the same as a race car.
I stayed in the car hobby the whole time, only I made sure that the money that went in to the car never crowded the family coffers.
Congrats. Don't worry about the money, it'll work itself out. Unloading toys isn't a bad idea regardless. Simplicity is your friend when you have young kids.
It's been a busy day. Went and looked at an 05 Trailblazer and applied for 4 new jobs lol.

Congrats! Fatherhood is a blast
Don't sweat the money part. My dad always said " If you wait until you can afford to have them(kids), you never will"
"Daddy, why is my nickname Oops?"
Congrats ,dude.
Congratulations! Catch up on your sleep while you can.
