So here's the thing: I primarily bought it from my friend the PO to keep her from getting raped by a dealer, trying to trade it in.
It was a fun adventure, the fly-n-buy. I saw some interesting things, and a lot of boring highways. If you haven't been out this way, there is a whole lot of nothing in the western US.
Back to the car... when these first came out, they got fabulously glowing reviews. A lot of people loved them, and some people still do.
As for this specific car... If I put you in a time machine and set the date to 1998, and showed you this car, you would think it was a decent 8-year-old Integra with 114k. That is the current condition of this one. Excepting the thrashed driver's seat, this looks like any used car... except it's 25 years old.
Now that I've driven it for three days straight, my take is... it's a car. My ex-wife drove a 1990 Camry 5-speed, and I felt the same way. I certainly don't see what all the hullabaloo was/is about an Integra.
So I rescued it, and I had a great adventure - and now I have no real use for it, nor exceptional desire to own/drive it. Not that there's anything wrong with the car (except I'm no fan of cars with trunks)... I just have no real want/need for it.
All in, I'm out right around $3000 ($2500 for the car + travel expenses. Forget about my time - I had fun)
If I got a $3k offer tomorrow, I'd take it and never look back.
So who's my market? Am I looking for a Honda fanboi, or just anyone who has $3k to spend on a car, and knows that mileage and maintenance mean more than age?
Any thoughts greatly appreciated.
