First, a quick photo dump:

Unlike every other state I've lived in, Nevada charges MORE for a Classic Vehicle plate than a regular car - BUT, it gets you out of smog check.

Who knew an old Integra was a "classic"? Not me, but Nevada legislators think so. Who am I to argue?

So here's the thing: I primarily bought it from my friend the PO to keep her from getting raped by a dealer, trying to trade it in.

It was a fun adventure, the fly-n-buy. I saw some interesting things, and a lot of boring highways. If you haven't been out this way, there is a whole lot of nothing in the western US.

Back to the car... when these first came out, they got fabulously glowing reviews. A lot of people loved them, and some people still do.

As for this specific car... If I put you in a time machine and set the date to 1998, and showed you this car, you would think it was a decent 8-year-old Integra with 114k. That is the current condition of this one. Excepting the thrashed driver's seat, this looks like any used car... except it's 25 years old.

Now that I've driven it for three days straight, my take is... it's a car. My ex-wife drove a 1990 Camry 5-speed, and I felt the same way. I certainly don't see what all the hullabaloo was/is about an Integra.

So I rescued it, and I had a great adventure - and now I have no real use for it, nor exceptional desire to own/drive it. Not that there's anything wrong with the car (except I'm no fan of cars with trunks)... I just have no real want/need for it.

All in, I'm out right around $3000 ($2500 for the car + travel expenses. Forget about my time - I had fun)

If I got a $3k offer tomorrow, I'd take it and never look back.

So who's my market? Am I looking for a Honda fanboi, or just anyone who has $3k to spend on a car, and knows that mileage and maintenance mean more than age?

Any thoughts greatly appreciated.

Honda fanboi or someone looking for a good $3k car would do it. I like the gen2 sedans, nice looking car.

I figured you would have said something about the thin pillars and airy view over the dashboard.

Are the pillars thinner than other cars? The only thoughts I had were that I hate the motorized seatbelts and that, while frameless door glass looks neat, when combined with a worn driver window regulator, the window won't close properly at speed.

As for the dash, my DD is a 1g Scion xB, so I guess I'm just used to looking over the dash, not at it.

I think price will vary a fair bit based on what type of transmission is has.

It has the kind with 5 forward gears and a clutch. I wouldn't have bought it otherwise!

B18 swap and Trans with limited slip. Leave everything else completely stock.

It's already got a B18 in it. It's just a A2 and Not a C1. Nice car:) If I had any need, I'd on my way to NV to get it. I always like the integra's I had. They weren't the fastest thing on the road, but they were comfortable and a step above the civics of the world.

fix the drivers seat, the drivers side window regulator … don't know if you'll make money on it, but with that low milage you should be able to break even

All right, stop. Collaborate and listen... Rice, rice baby.

That's all I got.

I owned that exact car in college (Circa 2000) with the same miles. Treated me well, didn't keep it long, but I have fond memories.

Sedan is far less desirable than the coupe, but that looks pretty clean.

This too. The view and ergonomics of these are very special to me, and 100% a thing of the past.
