Helping with a tech recyling/reuse/repurpose nonprofit and I was wondering what to do with these now that I've verified that the NSA isn't looking for them.

There's a lot of them? The model A is a mid-engined zetec daily driver, the LBC's are there mostly for parts.
I don't really have much of an idea what the price would be for a complete one, they should be pretty easy to convert over to R/C operation, the wires running to the control surfaces are all labelled. Any idea what they would be worth? You guys do get first dibs because everyone here is awesome.
Apart from flying around for fun there aren't a lot of positive uses for UAVs. There's niche delivery services and wildlife conservation...and I think that's it.
If these are commercial-grade stuff they cost well into the 4 digits. If they're military-grade they could even be into the 6 digits (the big difference being, how much money the buyers have).
Check out the cost of the relatively dinky RQ-11 Raven:

This Model A needs a Build thread NOW!!
Are they Challenge priced?
Nothing like getting high scores in concourse because the judge's fear of being bombed in the middle of the night
Identified the model, it's a DRS RQ-15 Neptune:

It's military so you can be sure the cost of the whole system is well into the 6 digits.
Whatever you do..... I don't know whether to say don't sell em one or TO sell them one. The Hongs would either turn that into one hellacious beer delivery system, or burn down the hotel at the challenge.

There's A LOT of win in this picture.
Hmmm I could actually think of several uses for them in my area. The immediate thing that comes to mind is actually to use them to scout for forest fires in the area surrounding where I live. Wild fire season always hits us hard the sooner that we can identify a problem area the better and the less chance there will be a loss of life or property.
There has also been discussion about utilizing UAVs to monitor power and communications lines going over the mountains. Currently pilots make periodic flights along the lines, low and slow and it is quite dangerous.
Another local use would be to scout ahead on wrecks on the mountain pass. Periodically we have some big wrecks that shut down travel going in both directions. Often times the scope of the accident, or even the initial reporting cannot be known for some time due to the remote location and the limited communications over the pass (about one third of the total distance has no cellular services).
The local search and rescue team I am sure would love to have access to one or two of these considering the areas they must cover when searching for someone.
Not to mention I would just love messing around with the thing
Ah search & rescue, good idea. I bet the Coast Guard would like these since they have water landing capability.

Many search and rescue groups would kill for these things. Many like our here locally buy all of their own gear out of their own pockets. Sometimes they do get donations of gear.
Researching wildlife movement patterns could be interesting as well. Around here they would more than likely use them for tracking herd movements and monitoring known areas where the new wolf packs are taking over.

Yes, that's far more important than the little planes in boxes
