That's because the strong and responsible one is daddy.

A jewel if ever there was one.

I wasn't calling her a whore per say...although she probably cheated on me, it's just a great quote from Dorothy Parker.

nocarbud: WOW I am really sorry to hear that, that's terrible. Just keep your head up and look ahead man. Things can only get better.

There will be no taking her back, no more talking to her, I already got all my E36 M3 back, she got hers. But she had to send her parents to make the exchange which was pitiful, they are just as bad as her saying I had plenty of chances to ask their daughter to marry her....

The thing is I thought everything was going well minus a few things here or there. She never gave me a sign, never said anything, just let it all build up into this.

It's only going to make me a better man and now I have a clean slate in front of me. It still hurts every now and then, but that'll only take time. I mean her true colors are really showing, she told her best friend to berkeley off as well when her friend asked her "WTF are you doing Lindsay, you have a great guy that wants to spend his life with you."

It'll be awesome in four years when you see that girl and she's turned into complete white trash like the dude she left you for.

Believe me, I take stuff like relationships ending hard too, but I can tell you, there are other girls, a truly good girlfriend would stick with you no matter what. Life is short, why waste it on something like a girl? Waste it on cars

Wow, so glad to be old and have all that crap behind me. Many unpleasant memories, including looking down the barrel of a very angry husband's gun, but that is way behind me now. Good luck to you, concentrate on the things you enjoy. Ms. Right will appear, probably at the least expected time. Just stay away from the married ones.

Dude, her parents' attitude tells you why she ended up the way she did. Count your blessings.

Quoted for awesome. And like a wiser feller than myself once said: "The best way to get over somebody is to get under somebody."

A good friend of mine from college (who happens to be a Mormon) told me that when I told her I was leaving my ex-wife. Best advice I was ever given, especially considering the source.

i dated/lived with "the one" for 6 years. the plan was to get get married. she has a son who at the time was 17. he was gettin ready for college. then one fine day we had a huge blow out and she took off. i, like a fool stayed home waiting for her to return to try and make things right.. but she had called the cops sayin i beat her and was just plain ole nasty to her. well needless to say i packed my stuff and moved out of dodge. about 3 weeks later i ran into a friend on the PD in town and he told me all the stuff she said i did. his comment to her was, if he has been doin these things you allege why is it just coming out now.. she had no answer for that. so i moved home. and low and behold about 3 weeks later i met the woman who i wouild marry. we have been together 9 years have a 5 year ol son.. and even though money is tight.. i have never been happier.. so trust me when i say it does get better.
