I finally gave up and started buying the almost-cheapest char-broils from home depot (~$150) every few years. I spent ~$500 for a nicer “stainless” one once. The bottom rusted out in 2 or 3 years just like the cheap ones.

Canoe at the bottom on the last page.

A new grill is in my radar for next summer. I'm pretty set on a small Webber.

Thread brought back from the dead by a canoe I think.

I love my kamado smoker. Pork butts are simple but time consuming but worth the effort.

The propane grill is a bit rusty on the back near the bottom from being on the edge of the patio and the backside getting exposed to rain.

Thinking about getting a pellet grill/ smoker so I can smoke things without having to fiddle with the smoker all the time

For convenience I bought a cheap char-broil propane grill ($89 in 1997) and have been using it for the past 21 years.  Store it in the garage and rebuilt the guts twice (looks like it's soon to be 3 times).  Not charcoal, but I can be cooking in 5 minutes from the thought about grilling. Did St Louis ribs with a dry rub today 5 hours low & slow... :). As far as I'm concerned it's the best grill ever.
