So i saw F&F 4...

The Dukes was more of an 80's show, actually. Went on the air in late 1979. I guess I prefer "70's era campiness" to the 00's version.

I'll have to go back to the early episodes, it's been too long.

I loved the first 6 episodes. Boss and Roscoe weren't such bumbling idiots and had a slightly sinister feel to them. The show had a real "there's a lot of bad, shady things happening in Hazzard and we (the Duke boys) need to clean it up.

In the first episode, we're introduced to three characters that we never see again. One of them is driving the Starsky & Hutch Torino.

Eh, I'll wait for the video on F4F4. I actually liked F3F3....better that F2F2. I'll add them to my video collection, mainly because they are car movies.

I tend to like the originals better than the remakes..original Italian Job is one of my favorites.

I don't disagree... but I can understand the desire to "modernize" the themes a bit...

It was pretty eye-opening... I remember seeign them when CMT was re-running them a few years ago and going, "damn... this ain't how I remember it..." Example (it's been awhile for me as well, so my details may be sketchy): Rosco walks into the Boar's Nest during a fight and fires his pistol into the ceiling and the place goes silent... everyone fears him... not the same at all. The later CA filmed episodes were totally different.

That was a great movie. It was the first thing I saw Pryor in that wasn't off the wall comedy. It had some good driving scenes too.

Redline? ...Now, I tend to go techno geek with movies, my brother, not at all. This is the first movie we jointly ripped on. What fun.

The thing anyone will remember about this pile is "star" Eddie Griffin killing an Enzo at a media day.

Redline is hilarious as background noise during a party with a keg on hand. Some movies you just can't take too seriously.

The RED LINE that I mentioned earlier has Chad McQueen in it, not to be confused with the latest/greatest Enzo wrecking version. My mistake.

the australian "redline" with the guy turning his silvia into a chop top? I don't remember how that movie was, I was distracted by the pain from burning my eyes and ears out with hot pokers about 7 minutes after the opening credits.

Oh man REDLINE, what a classic pile of crap. My favorite part was the lambo flying 100 ft into the air then the SLR spinning like a top in one place avoiding it...ahhhh...thats great production value right there. What about Death Proof? probably not the most original movie out there, but come on, a white challenger vs. a black charger, gotta love that!

Death Proof was way good...until Stuntman Mike turned into sniveling sally and the girls talked more than they drove. Quentin could have taken a note from Denis Weaver of Duel. Silence can be more thrilling that incessant jibber jabber.

Death Proof SUCKED. After fast-forwarding through the first million years of the creepy dude stalking the ugly hoes I got bored and did some freaking house work. I don't care how good the supposed ending/chase is, it's not worth that E36 M3 of a beginning!

I guess I'm not the only one who is completely underwhelmed by Quentin Tarantino. I know everyone under about 40 seems to think he's a filmmaking god or something, but I'm only a few years past that, and I just don't get it.

I think the biggest thing to applaud about Death Proof is that they did ACTUAL stunts in it, much like the old days.

Was it campy and stupid? Of course, that kind of the whole point of both the movies!

Yes, I've seen both Kill Bill & KBII multiple times. Mildly entertaining, agreed; "epic", not so much. Never saw Grindhouse/Deathproof. I don't think it's possible for anyone in the Western Hemisphere to have avoided seeing Pulp Fiction. Again, a bit entertaining, but hardly incredible.

Kill Bill II blew chunks compared to KBI and even KBI sucked compared to other revenge/fight movies. Ever seen Soldier? And I don't care how real the stunts are in Deathproof, I'd rather watch paint dry then sit through the first half of that awful abortion. Hell, I'd rather watch F&F, 2F2F, Tokyo Drift, and 4F4F in order back-to-back then watch Deathproof!

Just came back from FF^4. Total candy. Stupid candy. But fun.
