I thought Skyfall was a terrible disappointment. Not just as a Bond movie but as entertainment.

It was like Charlie's Angels without any Lucy Lu eye candy. What is the necessary skill level for a super secret agent with a license to kill these days? It does not appear to be the ability to kill anyone with any efficiency whatsoever.

Yep. Super genius 2-steps ahead ultra-plan evil villain guy? How does his plan culminate? He puts all of MI6 on high alert and then launches an armed frontal assault on a heavily protected building... twice.

Super smart secret agent tech guy at MI6? Wow the super hacker got captured almost too easily. I think we should plug his computer directly into the network that controls literally everything in our base.

Hey, movies are subjective like any other art form. But, really, complaining about unrealistic depictions of computer technology? In a MOVIE??? I'm not sure there's ever BEEN a movie made where computers were portrayed realistically. Even when I was 13 I knew Matthew Broderick couldn't really start WW3 with his CP/M machine. Jeez, get over it.

As for Skyfall, it was the best of the Craig movies, though I did enjoy Casino Royale quite a lot, too. But Skyfall had a very Bond-esque theme song, Bond-esque title credits, exotic locations, a pretty damn good villian played by a very good actor, and it ended with a few things that were very old-school Bond, like the padded door. Not only that, but the cinematography was just stunning, and the action scenes were well-done, too, particularly the fight in the skyscraper in Shanghai.

And this is coming from someone who considers "Quantum of Solace" to be the worst Bond flick since "License to Kill".

I haven't seen either of Daniel Craig's Bond movies, but I haven't liked any Bond movies after Connery. Craig seems closer to Bond than the post Connery guys. I also hate all the obsurd blow em up in all the newer movies ala Pierce Brosnan.

You realize I still refuse to play chess on a computer because of that movie? I was just sure I'd start WW3.

To be honest, I really liked skyfall, and I really havent liked any other bonds besides connery until craig. I think his bond seems aloof, tough, smooth, a bit worn around the edges...basically an E30 M3. I did like Casino Royale more than Skyfall, but thought skyfall was a great story still, and I think the bit about him getting a little older is going to be a great set up for subsequent films to highlight his ability to outsmart the bad guys AS WELL AS his ability to out ass-kick them. Im excited for whats next.

I really havent seen a Craig film, in general, I didnt like...a lot. Defiance was a phenomenal film. I also like Dragon Tattoo. He makes a great action star in my opinion.

Haven't seen the movie, but IMHO, people who don't like Daniel Craig as Bond should read some of the actual Ian Fleming books.

+1 I think Craig may be one of the best Bonds (besides Connery). None of the books have the masses of gadgets and all this other stuff. Brosnan was berkeleying horrible and Roger Moore wasn't much better. Also Skyfall was awesome.

Edit: For some reason I am not surprised a bunch of people on here hated it....

Agreed, Defiance was terrific. Craig was great in that, as was Liev Schreiber. And Dragon Tattoo was pretty good too.
