And I'm wondering where the Pro's are. Ken Gushii, Frankie Munoz, and Brian Austin Green? Are you kidding me?

Brian Austin Greene was a pro because he had won in previous years.
Ken is a drifter, and Frankie is a "racer".
Gone are the days of true pros...

Yes, I know. I watched Frankie finish just about dead last in a Formula car race at the 12hrs. several years ago. And he finished 2nd in the Pro category.
Looks like they were a bit thin on celebrities too. It's quite a drop off from James Brolin and Gene Hackman to William Fichtner. I haven't heard of one of this years celebrities, not even for some kind of drunken debauchery.
William Fichtner is awesome. You really should know who he is (you will almost certainly recognize the face if you look him up).

Yeah, he played the cool blind scientist in Contact.

Interesting that both divisions have multiple father/son winner combos. Maybe genes help after all?

Whoops, forgot about 1 win 3 years ago. For all the hype, you'd think she'd have won more than one indycar race & one celeb. race. Just saying.

But she won the hearts of millions! LOL!

Ah yes, the "Look at me, I'm sexy" photo shoots. I thought it was wise that to avoid getting typecast she also did two ads with the underlying subtext "I'm smart, I'm not a bimbo like those other cute girls."

My only question with her marketing is why the SI people thought it was necessary to remove her tattoo in photoshop
She might not actually be cut from the same cloth as the top tier drivers around her... but if I could show my azz as a way into a professional motorsports career and manage to hold my own in that company - in a berkeleying heartbeat.

I don't care if she ever wins another race. Seriously, for every person or entity that overly-praises her, there's one that is willing to hold her to a different standard or be overly critical. I haven't looked up all the stats, but my impression is that she's just as competitive as anyone else that's not on Penske or Ganassi's teams. Anyone that can handle a racecar at 220 plus MPH around Indy has my respect. And if she does it looking like that, all the better.
