So I pick up the Turbo GP last night and all is well, I am not unhappy with the car. I paid for what I expected.

OK, this car has been my daily driver for 4 ½ years (and still is). It is still a reliable car but it needs some work and I don’t have time anymore to fix it. I would like it to go to someone who can appreciate the car’s potential. First: The car is a 1990 red TGP Coupe with 166,XXX miles on it. It is located near Lansing, Michigan (48842). I am asking $800 for it. It has tan cloth interior. Mods: Topgun 160 chip and 160* thermostat K&N open cone filter No Cat Turbo was rebuilt at 110,000 miles Oil return line replaced Replaced coil packs and ignition module Air conditioning was retrofit to r134a but needs recharging Rear struts were replaced Optima red top battery is about 3 years old Alternator replaced Fuel pump replaced Interior is in good shape All gauges work except for oil pressure, HUD works Power seats work fine Sunroof works fine Issues: Still has stock crossover so it is cracked and causes the car to stall sometimes. ABS pump cycles and light on dash is flashing Turn signals don’t work due to a problem with the lever Power antenna doesn’t go down completely Front brake rotors are badly warped and need to be replaced The cassette deck is broken but the radio works Steering wheel radio controls don’t work Runs well but does use some oil Front end may need some work; it makes some popping noises sometimes Will need tires soon Power mirror on driver’s side won’t move with power in the “up” direction Cruise control doesn’t work I had to remove the front lower valance a few months ago after driving through a big snow finally ripped it in half Paint has normal fading for its age and clearcoat is coming off the fender flares There is some minor surface rust in a few spots but no other body damage to speak of. Whole car needs a good cleaning, inside and out That’s all I can think of right now. I have tried to represent the car as accurately as possible so there are no disappointments. I do have some more pictures if you are interested.

No biggie, right?

Check back on the board today:

Works great. Sold my car with the stock chip in it. $200 or best offer

So do I kill the guy or just kick him in the nuts?

I would save those sites offline, maybe talk to the mods on the forum, (if he isn't one), get the cops involved. Sounds like he burned you out of 200 bucks, that's stealing and illegal if I recall correctly.

have you emailed/talked to the guy?

Ohh so he told you the chip was in it, then sold the chip after.. you thinking it's chipped the whole time.

bait and switch, smells like fraud.

He hasn't yet returned my eMails. He will give me the "you gave me less than I was asking" douchery I am sure. It just leaves a bad taste is all.

That guy truly is a moron. He sells his car to someone via a forum and then posts a part from said transaction in the same forum??

That is the dumbest thing I've seen in a long time.

While it may not be stealing, it certainly is fraud.

I'd answer the post stating that he advertised the car with the chip...and see what happens. Call him out.

I would atleast call him out and contact the Mods. Get them involved and ruin him on the forum.

If that chip is really 1/4 the value of the car as it was advertised, I'd consider that stealing and should be fraud. You'll probably need to sue him to force his hand, but I think he owes you cash back or that chip if there wasn't any agreement between you that changed the terms of the sale.

Fraud for sure. I'd threaten him with a lawsuit.

I vote nut kicking. Simple, effective, gets the point across.

I've been thinking lately that there seem to be an increasing number people who are clearly not getting their asses kicked enough.

Take before and after pictures. It'll be worth the jail time.

I have a visual of 5 pics... Black van pulls up... Hardy gets out and addresses seller... Roshambo... Pic of seller holding swollen nards crying on ground... Hardy flipping seller off out the window of the van.

I was worried for you there when I saw the seller only had 3 posts and obviously joined only to sell the car, but luckily his son (or something??) chimed in with a good 500 posts so atleast there is a rep to ruin :]

I just went over there and saw that your guy is online. I suspect an editing of the original posting coming. As a preventive measure, someone with a log in should "quote" the original post. That way, if he changes his post, the "quoted version" will show the discrepency.

I think you should relieve him of his kneecaps. My favorite mode of removal is swift moving wooden baseball bat.

that is really douchey

for $200 that chip can be perminently implanted into his forehead. It might actually speed up his obviously lacking brain functions

John, I just checked into the other forum to check progress. You do not need my approval but I think you played your cards well by taking the high ground.

Why can't you kick him in the nuts, then kill him (and bury him vertically)?
