Here we go. School district map http://www.michigan.gov/documents/CGI_SD04_L_Birmingham_City_SD_105728_7.pdf You can see Birmingham school district goes through Southfield at about 12 1/2 mile with some ups and down. That's approx. 6 square miles out of 26 sqyare miles, that's nearly 1/4 of it!!
BTW I am looking in Southfield for the most part. I hate driving into the sun to and from work. No really. It didn't even cross my mind when I accepted the job.
