So I ordered these for the house. The jumbo ones (24x38) to match the Banksy "Heavy Weaponry" canvas in my office.

Not sure how you all feel about kickstarter projects, but I'm ordering the jumbo 3 pack the Cobra, GT500, and 911. Guess I'll see how it goes over when she finds out

Not mine, but they showed up today and thought they were something you all would appreciate.

Not mine sadly I had to poach the kickstarter image... luckily my wife agrees with my taste so our furniture tends to be on the modern side. When they show up in September (bleh) I'll take some pictures.

FYI they are 80lbs card stock not stretched canvas the image is a bit misleading, as well as the size. I assume you'll have to do your own mounting. Even still I thought it was a good price.

I really like kickstarter and have bought a few things in my time. I'll have to run this one by the wife when she gets back, but I dig these. Thanks for the heads up.

The prints are great, but watch the video with the sound off if you're annoyed by valley-girl speak.

  1. NICE!!!

  2. I know a guy who'll be happy to charge you 10X what you paid for the art to frame them for you.

  3. If the fact that they're on stock instead of gallery wrapped on canvas makes the framing cost or weight prohibitive, there's a "UV Canvas Laminate" that can be drymounted over the print that offers the same UV-filtering properties as glass, without the weight, AND sort of makes it look like they're on canvas. Bonus points if you brush some gel-medium on top (we use a product called Z-gel) to make them look like originals.

Also, not to be too big of a snob, especially considering the price point, but there's no mention of the original medium...which I'm guessing is not paint, but some chick grabbing someone else's (potentially copyrighted) photo, spending 10 minutes in photoshop making it black and white and bumping the contrast way up, then emailing the file to the printer.

...not that there's anything wrong with that. Hell, at $13k in committed sales, I wish I would've thought of it myself! Why the berkeley am I spending money on painting lessons!?!?!?

PPS: Chick should offer them mounted on 1/2" thick board, ready to hang, as shown in at least one of the photos; or gallery-wrapped on canvas. I'll go away now.

Keep going I'm actually reading with great interest trying to figure out how to mount them The half inch board sounds like the winner because I like the edge-less look like it's a canvas.

Another reason why I love this board, though I mostly just lurk here.
