all i have to say is it looked like the Sequel to Driven... My god, it was terrible!!
First off, F1 cars? Really? Looked like Formula BMW... They come in for a pit stop, crew jumps over the wall armed with Tire Pressure gauges.. So much technology huh? Oh, the drivers decide to take their helmets off and wave at the crowd during the pit stop... "Whats he doin out there?" "What he always does... Winning"
I think they used the same director from Driven... Wheres Sly?
Prepare to cringe...

One more reason I'm glad I dont have an anteanna any more. Doubly so because CBS is the only station I can pick up over the air.

I caught the show; referencing "Drivel" is appropriate. The writers put their limited knowledge on display and really failed. Makes one wonder if any part of any CSI-style show is remotely close to accurate. Trying to integrate real racing footage was a big fail; the prop cars really didn't look like "real" ones.
Looked like the cars were Formula Continental (think FF with 2 liter engines, bigger tires and wings). Formula BMWs use a more aggressive aero package.

Ding ding ding ding ding! Yes they put their ignorance on display in every episode, probably just about everything on CSI is inaccurate.
I can tell you that all the things they do with computers are just as comically idiotic as this.
Next time I write an app that does any kind of searching, I'll be sure to waste 99.9% of the processing power displaying each piece of information as the search runs.
And did you know that you can zoom into crappy cell phone pics with infinite resolution? Yeah you were just using the wrong software the whole time, noob!
I could go on but I don't watch the show and I try not to remember what I have seen.
I didn't watch the show but I have to say, if I had - my hopes would not have been set too high for realism or entertainment value either.
i thought the helmet removal was classic. and the giant fireball........running bare metal gas tanks?
if you watch further, the CSI team has to "rebuild" the F1 car to see what went wrong... I mean, i love cars and all and have some wrenching experience, but i have no where near as much experience to piece together a F1 car, especially a burnt F1 car...
I'm not allowed to laugh at the computers on TV anymore.
I think we'll have to watch this episode of CSI, though. Just for the cheese factor. Does Danica do the big hair flip when she pulls off her helmet? Please tell me she does.

Any TV show filmed in Miami is crap. Especially Burn Notice. Love his old Charger, but wouldn't he want to be just a little bit more inconspicuous? Nahhh, it's MIAMI!!! Now they are talking about moving Jersey Shore to South Beach. Perfect fit. The Clevelander Hotel, a pretty nice place, is all over that one. Of course, that place has the beds bolted to the floor for their more rambunctious guests.
I believe CSI:NY is filmed outside Florida. I forget where.
CSI: Miami is not even filmed in Florida. Soundstage in CA with some outdoor shots of Miami sprinkled in.
My girlfriend USED to enjoy watching CSI (although never Miami, she can't stand the red haired douche, and neither can I). That was before I started watching it with her and picking it to pieces.
I actually enjoyed the original CSI, but not for an accurate portrayal of current techniques or the interesting camera following the bullet entry effects, but just the characters and their development. All of the CSI with a : after it just went downhill in a big way.

As silly as it often is, I enjoy the crap out of Burn Notice. Somehow, that show just works. The Charger definitely helps.
I think 'Numbers' is the worst for pseudo-intelligent tech speak.
I love Burn Notice. It has Bruce Campbell, the Charger and stuff blowing up. Awesome.

I love cars and have a LOT of wrenching experience and I will tell you... that wrench don't turn.

Bruce Campbell pretty much does make anything more awesome-er.
That was amazing. I don't know what part I liked best. The 50 second pit stop to check the tire pressure was cool. When the red car passed the yellow one while drifting was also amazing. I also loved how just like in the movies if they needed to go faster they just shifted and then they rapidly accelerate. It also looked to me like the red car had nitrous.
Edit: It wasn't nitrous it was a vic engine. It is experimental and only some teams have them. They aren’t part of the formula yet.

But not as much as Gabrielle Anwar.

Maybe they're the FCs with the literbike engine conversion (Formula 1000 or Formula S, I think they're called)? That would also give them the engine sound to loop over the footage..
I expected the cars to have the pre requisite V8 soundtrack and squealing tires on the grass.
"Where the engine meets the fuel line." OMG

Gabrielle Anwar is striking, but no. The Bruce Campbell factor is way better at making anything awesome. Gabrielle Anwar could not have made Escape from LA watchable, Bruce did.

Very true; the soundtrack (F1000s or an AMA feed) was the best part. The sound editors did a much better job than the scripters.
At least the writers got one thing right - Danica rarely finishes first.
