I'm not (retired) but my son worked 14 hours on Christmas Eve, 14 again yesterday, and is at it again for those kind of hours today. We're having Christmas tomorrow.

Oh, he'll be fine. All those middle-aged accountants have to spend their Christmas bonus somewhere.

I'm in. Cleaning up the shop. Need to get it ready for pictures before the 31st.
Probably will stick around late too.
I worked 7am-12noon. Burning up 1/2 vacation day this afternoon.
Our #1 salesmen told me today he has 9 vacation days left and will be in the office tomorrow for a while. We lose them if we don't use them.

E36 M3’ing off the clock is like, well, flushing money down the drain.
Workin hard...
...on a fifth of JD single barrel. If your job sucks so bad you feel the need to cry about it constantly, harden the berkeley up & quit.
HAPPY KRUNKMUSS!
Went back to work at 22:00 on the 25th and I'll be back tonight at 22:00 again. Looking for a job. Any suggestions on what my next venture should be?

Re-doing all my work i did on Wednesday because apparently when someone simply says "I don't think his numbers are right, but i don't have any proof," that's enough to get a director involved and force me to re-do everything, but this time in Excel to "show my work." (You know, because figuring that E36 M3 out yourself with a calculator is too hard. YOU HAVE THE SAME RESOURCES I DO.) Oh by the way, nobody has a template for me. 12-14 hour day here i come!
Winding down.
Someone is going to have a very bad day on Monday when they realize that all of my spreadsheets proving that i was right and they didn't do a lick of research in the first place, let alone when they complained, were sent to both our respective managers and our director.
Too bad. Don't berkeley with me.
Worked all three of my normal overnights this week (W-F 6:30pm-7:00am). I'm just whiling the last of my hours away here...
We're off from the 24th to the 2nd. Coming back on a Friday after a long holiday? From the same bossette that thinks we should close the entire week of July 4 because our customers will be. I don't get her logic sometimes. Ok, most times.
(Most of my emails from customers before I left had tag-lines saying "We will be closed Dec 24 25 Jan 1 2)
You'll need to log in to post.
