I need to build up several 25 to 35 watt solar kits. To run cameras and wi-fi transmitters. Total draw is under 10 watts. Anybody here have suggestions for sources? Cannot use junk.

What kind of voltages are you running? What's your price range? Is surplus new stuff alright?

12vdc, 1 amp draw, but draw will be 24/7. Need to charge batteries for night use. new for production, but could use surplus for development. Price range is best bang for the buck. This is for high end security cameras that will use wi-fi for signal transmission. It has to be dependable. Thanks.

HF has a 45 watt kit with a charge controller and some security lights that goes on sale for like $150-ish. I bought one but haven't put it up yet.

May have to check that out, but the HF part worries me.

Disclaimer: I have no idea what I am talking about when it comes to solar.

Solar chargers are popular in the marine industry to trickle charge boat batteries which rarely get used but are always out in the sun. Here are some samples as low as $40.
Manufacturer names seem to be Sunforce and Ganz.

Typical of marine equipment, those prices are quite high. Thanks for looking though.
