I can't believe no one has asked why you want to install windows. You want to see why the rest of the world is frustrated? Enjoy your new Mac. If you must change, try Linux!

I think no one asked because I think most people know JG's a Mac guy from WAY back.
One of the great beauties of a Mac is that you CAN run OS X, Windows and Linux on it, but honestly, I just can't see the advantage of running Linux on one. All the advantages of Linux are already in OS X, and most *nix software will run on it anyway.
I do, however, see advantages to having a windows install for some people. I have XP on mine. I rarely use it--mostly just for testing and debugging stupid IE problems--but I'm sure glad it's there when I need it.

Nope, not switching. Like Bax said, I'm a Mac guy from way back. For several years, though, we've needed a Windows machine around since the vast majority of software related stuff my wife deals with is Windows based. She's a teacher. Any file she gets from any of her colleagues or the school usually began life in a Windows environment. And, at some point, translation just becomes a hassle.
The Windows setup on my tower PowerMac also lets me do iRacing, and play Warhammer, so that's obviously important.
Co-boot setups like Fusion and Parallels work fine for just opening a Word doc in Windows without having to quit OSX, but for doing any serious computing (like iRacing) Boot Camp is the way to go. With both systems booted at once, hardware items (USB stuff, printers) don't ever work correctly. With Boot Camp, hardware accessories are much happier.
Oh, and I think I mentioned it already, but i just broke down and ordered a system builder version of XP. At $89, it's not worth the extra hassle to try and bootleg it.
