Commenting on bad behavior is not equivalent to engaging in bad behavior. I'm afraid that Alfadriver has a good point.
So, us commenting on the mother's bad behaviour that resulted in the death of her child != bad behaviour that results in the death of a child.
Thanks for making that point for us.

There's a difference between judgement and fact.
Oh, for Pete's sake.
People are stupid, some more than others. People are judgmental, some more than others.
Next topic.

The fact is that a mother something that killed her son. Are we really so PC that it's unacceptable to comment negatively on that?

You forgot contrary. Some people feel a need to be contrary more than others.
That was in reply to your previous comment

Not if the observation in itself is judgemental, which in this case it was.

berkeley Pete. He should be imprisoned for irresponsibly forcing his sake on us.

Why did they have to kill the dog?
From what I've seen/heard, one dog wouldn't stop mauling the kid so it was shot. The others backed off when called and most went back to a enclosure.

Man... human kids must be delicious. I mean... to risk being shot to finish eating one is some serious berkeleying commitment.

Am I the only one here who is more observing the judgemental nature of this board?
Observation
Interesting that so many of you need to add into someone else's issues like that.
(disguised) Judgement
Thanks for pointing that out.
Yes, I am being judgemental. But only noting, and not advocating doing something about behaivor.
But I'm not advocating that your computer rights be taken away due to my judgement. Or that we should incease sociatal dangers to eliminate some of your judgements.
Just that its interesting to see how many people here want to be judge, jury, and executioner in events like this.

Who's being PC?
I'm just pointing out "throwing stones" and all.
It would be one thing if the post was something about the tragedy of a poor choice costing a child his life as well as the dogs. To then wish more judgement against the mom... well, interesting.

It was the zoo's fault for not feeding the dogs human kids in the first place. Or, maybe it was the zoo's fault for feeding them E36M3 instead of what they really want.
There's plenty of blame to go around and I'd hate to see one party carry the burden more than another, but I've got a feeling the folks at the zoo are going to be made the real villains in an avoidable tragedy.

Of course. Because we shouldn't judge the stupidity of the direct agent of this tragedy, but it's OK to judge the zoo management for underestimating the stupidity of those we aren't allowed to call stupid.

Sorry Margie. I was really just lamenting the loss of the little boy and sad due to the unavoidable nature. I didn't mean to dig the rabbit hole and certainly hope I didn't chase anything down it.

It stopped being about anything related to the story after the first page. In 36 hours it will be petty arguing about election sour grapes or how the industrial age may have effected storm strength.
Hey, I understand. I've posted my share of threads that just went... wrong.
I just hope everyone relaxes a little once we're no longer being bombarded with all the negativity due to the election, and can start thinking more about important things like turkey vs. prime rib.

As long as you're not being judgemental of my judging and claiming it as observance.
(Yes, i know i made up my own language in that statement, but I almost enjoy that as much as judging people.)
I posted a PGH news link and live press conference link to provide information and dissuade speculation. Sorry if I stepped in it. No personal comment from me.
My judging is observing your latent judgmental observance and finding it lacking any judgement whatsoever, which I've observed, and judged.
Say the same words enough times and they stop sounding like words. Judge.
p.s. Mostly I judge that I need to stop observing off-topic, too bad so many posts that I judge observance-worthy end up here. I wish there was a "car off-topic" and "non-car off-topic." That way I could judge which ones to observe more easily.
