My girlfriend is Canadian and loves ketchup and all dressed chips, which by the way are both disgusting mainly all dressed because it's all the seasonings in one bag. Luckily im in the south and we have Zapps and Golden Flake. I do love me some Zapps Cajun Crawtators though.
When I was in Germany 10 years ago, I stumbled upon these:
Good lawd they are good.
This thread is worthless with out.
We had some friends over and cracked open the bag. We all agreed the Ketchup Doritos tasted like a weak flavored shrimp cocktail sauce.
"Mmmmmmmmmmmmm..... Weak flavoured shrimp cocktail sauce......."
Shrimp cocktail sauce chips?
Lays has been doing a new flavour (yes, that's the correct spelling) contest in Canada off and on over the past few years. Maybe I'm too old, but do we need Maple Moose flavoured potato chips?
It's not like sales of potato chips are slumping.
These were the 2015 "winners":
Montreal Smoked Meat,
Butter Chicken,
PEI Scalloped Potatoes,
Baked Beans
2014:
Bacon Poutine,
Cinnamon Bun,
Jalapeño Mac N' Cheese,
Tzatziki
Do any of these appeal to anyone alive or dead? ever?

I'm not Canadian, I don't like chips, but I do put ketchup on almost everything.
We picked up a t-shirt for our youngest. It says on the front - "I put Ketchup on my Ketchup"
I should buy stock in Heinz!

The Butter Chicken ones are delicious. Think Indian food. Cheesy scalloped potato ones are decent, too.
When I was a kid, Hostess had one summer worth of fruit flavoured chips. The Grape ones were awful.
Ketchup on everything, especially eggs. That always gets some wtf looks. Nothing but Heinz.
Ketchup is my favorite vegetable.

Their Jalapeño chips are so good, it represents a problem.
I have had these. They make me hesitant to judge other people's chips.
In case yourself wondering: meh. 2 stars out of 5. They're super thin, and do not bring any flavor.

What's wrong with potato flavored potato chips?
But then you must ask: rippled, kettle cooked, uniform Pringles? There are no easy answers when concerning chips.

Chips are merely the conduit through which flavour is served.

I'd expect to hear "shimmy shimmy yaw shimmy yam shimmy yay" every time I opened the bag.

Yup, I'm pretty much a purist on this topic - plain chips are the best.

It's interesting that even in its Asian form, it was pronounced "kay-chap' and not "cat-sup".
I have a mini-stroke everytime someone says "catsup" or "warsh" or "hwear".
I'd probably struggle living in the south.
I don't care for potato chips.

I've never willingly purchased plain chips.
Sometimes I'm amazed people have lived lives without eating the staple St Louis foods.
It's always interesting to see the reactions of people eating your local area's foods. I suggest those watches on the you tubez.
