I will own an MR2 one day as I lusted after the only one in town whilst a teenager.

Part of me says "How COULD you?" But then another part says you traded 5 of these:
For one of these:
Did you guys read about the collection? 4 of them were high miles, 2 were automatics, 1 was resprayed not a factory color, and only 1 was supercharged. I mean don't get me wrong, it's a nice collection, but it's not like the guy had 5 museum quality ones. Seems like a good deal for him!
Also, the article doesn't discuss whether or not that was all of his collection. If he owned 5 AW11s, he might have a really nice low mile supercharged one still tucked away somewhere next to his ND. :)
okay I'll admit I don't know much about prices but I cannot tell you the last time I saw one and that equals rarity to me which usually has some increasing $$$ attached as old farts like me age out too and want to relive our youth. plus the fact that modern stuff doesn't excite me too much whether it's a hyper car or otherwise. Glad to see the interest nationwide in the trade-ins rather than the indignity of an auction.

Saying that miatas are superior based on what the market says?
Hey, it’s a legitimate metric to use. The market only buys what it considers superior, and staying power means you’re getting something right.
I’m pretty sure these first-gen MR2 are just rare, not valuable. Like first-gen CRXs. You guys know how I feel about those.
First gen MR2 are bringing good money on BAT. It isn't my cup of tea, I think they are horrendous looking, and the ugliest MR2 ever built, but having said that, just like old Hondas, old classic Toyotas are bringing good money these days.
Cars are made to be driven, and if you're doing it right, enjoyed. You can't drive 5 cars at once. He passed the on for one he can drive every day. Plus, it looks like most of the cars he traded in have already been bought and will probably get driven.
The article also notes the pervious owner is retired. He probably wants to drive and not spin wrenches.

As correct as that statement is, Does that statement suit this forum?:D
seems like 2 person household on this forum has 8 cars on average, and the single driver households have 4-5 cars each
