If, and that's a big if, we decide having those super delicate meat bags called humans live on bodies outside of our solar system, I think sending factories that manufacture humans would be the best approach.
I imagine we're less than 100 years away from being able to build such a factory...we would send the factories with DNA code rather than physical DNA and be able to transmit code upgrades at will later.

I don't think we'll be living on the actual surface of the Moon or Mars, but like the buildings you see in sci-fi. Robots will be sent first to build them and lots of supplies will have to come from Earth before they would be self sustaining.
"Go play outside" would mean either a space suit or under the glass dome.
If you're going to do that, the upper atmosphere of Venus is not a bad place to be.
