I have a 1974 OMC 6hp, a late 90s OMC 9.9 as well.  I also have a few 70s OMC 35hp, but they're long shaft and would likely sink the back end if they don't rip the transom off first.

Dculberson can probably use one of the 70s OMCs if he gets that Starcraft, which frees up budget for a hooptie jet ski...

I would want to make sure they're up to snuff.  They're pretty beat.

Curtis,

You posted a link to this thread in your I want to mod my 2-stroke ramblings.

I used to hang out at glasply.org and one of the guys there got a 9' GP dingy and put a Kawasaki 650cc jet in it.  There were several pages of his build at one point, but they were lost in a forum crash.

Last I heard, he was still alive in spite of doing this - here's a video of his maiden run.

Dingy

In reply to CJ :

The video is a bit blurry but it looks like he is just running an electric trolling motor which would be a pretty funny troll if it weren't for the noise.

Too bad the water was choppy in that video.  I wanted to see it opened up.

Nope.  650 Kawasaki - he had quite a thread at one point; too bad it is gone.  The tiller just steers the jet nozzle.

On flat water it flew!
