That's a worrying statement, especially given Bianchi's recent accident. Obviously he got better as he's back, but what happened and was the lack of a front cage the cause?

Pancake hit, driver's side into a concrete wall at Mid-Ohio. Bent the steering column and seat over. Head hit the side down-bar of the cage. Woke up 8 days later. Traumatic Brain injury. This was in 2008.
Finally recovered and got his competition licence back in 2011. He was very fotunate.
Strong possibility he will be in a Trans-Am 2 car next season.
Steve Eckerich's SPO time trial car at Chasing the Dragon Hillclimb. Really nice guy with an incredible shop, which doubles as a metal fab business. He keeps cars on the shelves.

I've been toying with this idea for a Miata.. I may have even marked the cut lines with masking tape on the not so nice Miata in my Garage..
Front end needs some work but looking for something that looks XK120/TR3/MGA/Allard esq..
I feel like it works but it shouldn't. I need to swap the seats for some Bomber/60's roadster seats. And maybe add some head cowls...
