I got my fill of sightings this past weekend between the cars on track, in the paddock, and in the car corral at barber motorsports park.
Everytime I read this thread title it makes me think of a dead head sticker on a cadilac...I didn't see it, but I hotlinked it anyway.
I saw what apeared to be a '40 ford coupe done up like a early '70's short track modified a week ago. I always thought that would be the coolest ride.

I was surprised to connect that high-pitched wail to a V10; never heard one being driven in anger before.
you ought to have one pass you at WOT on the front stretch at VIR.... just the sound , not even counting the wind force, shock my CRX...
Spotted a Maserati GranTurismo(?) today shortly after noon on rt13 in Ithaca, NY.
Not exactly a Maserati, but the first Chevy Cruze I've seen in the wild was at the Oshawa Holiday Inn on Thursday morning with Michigan manufacturer plates. Nice looking car, actually: dark gray with two-tone gray interior.
Last Wed. I saw a right hand drive 280z parked on the street in downtown Columbus Ohio. I would love to know the story behind that.

In reply to alex:
Seen that Orange Gallardo in STL myself. (Well, it was an orange Gallardo; can't be that many of them). I, too, was surprised to hear a V10 scream like that. I got to follow it down 64/40 for 15 miles and I had the radio off the whole way.

We had an interesting auction here yesterday. Bugatti Veyron, Lambo Murcialago, tw F430 Ferraris, 67 Vette 427, MB SLR McLaren, Bentley, two Rolls, stretch Excursion limo. 55' Yacht, 33' Riva, two 210hp wave runners. One guys cars, for the benefit of IRS and unhappy investors. He's going away soon for a long vacation at Uncle Sam's country club.

Had another strange Rolls Royce sighting about a week back.
This time a mint Silver Cloud (I think), towing a grimey trailer full of plumbing supplies, (bits of PVC pipe and things like that.)

I saw the ad for that auction. Assumed it was a whole heap o' drug dealers. That was one dude's garage? Keyrist... I was gonna put a bid in for the SLR, that's my wife's dream car, but she said don't bother cuz it just doesn't look good in bright yellow...
Do you have any idea what the high bids were?
When I was working 10-6:30 on sundays there was always a green XJS 'Vert in the parking lot. Just seeing it was the highlight of the day
this afternoon on my way home from the Junkyard, I spotted a big truck towing a mini Traveller wagon in primer. looked slightly "clapped", but prime candidate for a restoration.
Who here recently got a mini?

If you live in Pasco county Florida it was Dennis Denny.
Dennis was a West Virginia hillbilly that struck it rich during West central Floridas housing boom in the '80s. To say Dennis was a fun rich car guy was an understatement. He placed a Rolls on blocks in his front yard, had a stripped to glass big block 1963 Corvette that he hooned around town in, his wife drove a Rolls as a mail truck. Life has been good to him and he has always been a fun guy to watch.
