A group has raised over $100,000 on a kickstarter program to finish the original 5 year mission. TRYING to stay true to the original. They have finished 3 episodes... and (from a few trailers I've seen...) they look like they are doing well

The toothless one is my youngest a few years back. All the shots are from her left side, because they only had 1 ear for her (Oh the joys of low budget productions!)

Are they using Gene Roddenberry's stories? Or is this all Fan Fiction?
combination. A lot of the stories are based on stories that happened in the original series. Personally I like the series, they are very well done
I put in some money for the crowdfunding of this. Good stuff very similar to the original series. Also has James Doohan's son playing Scotty.
I would've been ok if they used a guy who looked nothing like Shatner because that dude (Vic Mignoga) creeps me out. Everyone else in the cast is convincingly similar (with exception to Habercorn as Spock).
