So, over the weekend, I found out that a large medical bill from last year was refused by my insurance company during the month of December because the coverage had ended November 30, 2015. September of last year my boss told me that he would not be able to provide health insurance at the start of 2016 but i would be covered until the end of the year. At which point, I set up coverage through Obama care for January 1, 2016. I was paying 50% of my coverage prior to 2016 and this was deducted and listed as such on my pay stub. Now, I should state that I work for a very small family owned transportation / Repo company. To state that the owner is difficult to work for is an understatement of the century. He has lost countless good people because of his poor attitude and personal skills. I'm one of the few people he has encountered that demands to be treated with respect. When I bring this issue to light, I know it's going to go bad fast. So, I was planning on bring this issue up Monday that is until problem number 2 occurred .
I was driving my Rollback down a two lane highway in PA when cresting a hill I saw a Ford Explorer left of center. The Explorer of course hit my left rear wheel. I stopped in a reasonable distance from the impact. The explorer continued down the road on 3 wheels for about a 16th to an 8th of a mile hitting a parked car in a restaurant. I'm not exaggerating the distance. Of course, the driver of the Explorer claims that I was left of center. I think he was going too fast and could not make the slight curve in the road causing him to go left of center. I followed the officer in charge of the scene to where the impact occurred and he stated that the impact was in my lane indicating that the explorer was in the wrong. I asked the officer if the other driver would be cited and he stated "probably". That made me feel a little better until I talked to the insurance company. They stated that the citation my be changed if the insurance company fights the facts. I have a excellent driving record and would like to keep it that way.
That's my week so far.
