Trabant - Oops, wrong! That was an inline 2. I'm off to a good start here...

SAAB - SAAB Sonnet, naturally. Couldn't remember the model. Dunno if I should get any points for that.

Packard - Again, couldn't remember the model. Turns out Straight-8 equipped Packards were called some variant of the "8", like the Deluxe 8 or the Light 8. I'm counting it.

Audi R8 - D'oh! The 12-cyl R8 is called, obviously, the R12, but it has a V12 rather than a W. It's also diesel, which is awesome. Should have gone with the Phaeton here, which is less awesome but more correct.

Vee 16
There's one of those at the Donington museum, but I can't remember the name of the (race) car it was in. - The car I was thinking of was the BRM Type 16 from the late '40s. Donington has both the engine and a complete car on display. 1.5L V16. Supercharged. Badass.

3 minutes 21 seconds, including typing, fixing typos, and adding the extra spaces so the formatting doesn't bork itself, but not including typing this text and eliminating the quote blocks. Because I'm bored, I just went through and wrote correct answers to the ones I got wrong in italics.

A couple of those would have me stumped. Weren't there Caddy's in the early 30's(?) that used a V16?

Don't forgot the inline 5 - Volvo for one.

Maybe as an addendum to the game, how many of these different engine configurations have you owned?

I've had Inline 4

Inline 6
