Oof, I forgot what it was like to be a student!
Master's in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling at Adams State University, online/hybrid. I fly there in a few weeks for my first Intensives week. So far, so good. Like riding a bike I guess, you never really forget how.
Good luck! I always admire adults that go back to school. Don’t you also have kids?? Man that sounds tough. Congrats!!
In August of 2014, I went back for my Master of Landscape Architecture degree after working in the field for 15 years... the transition from working as a project manager to being a full time student was painful! However, the two years flew by quickly.
Good luck!

Good luck, man! I went straight through - 7 years, I coulda been a doctor - to get my Master's. I knew if I got out and started making money instead of just spending it, that I would never want to go back. I'm impressed by people who do.

Congratulations. Grad school was the biggest boost I ever gave my career.
Congratulations on your decision. I graduated from high school in 73 with a 1.8 GPA (an A test average doesn't help when you don't go to class the rest of the week).
I started college in 1987, finished vet school in 97. Totally remade my life.
I tried to go back to grad school for a PhD in environmental toxicology in 1991. It would have been a third degree from the same school although would have been in a different department. The department head was having no part of that, but HE had 3 degrees from UGA.
A friend of mine just got her Master's last week, a few years over 40. It wasn't an easy process, moved out of state, no bankroll, full time student, etc. I respect any one who does it later in life, not sure I could.
Thanks everybody, I appreciate your support!
Yes, I have kids, and a job. Time is in short supply right now.
Congratulations and good luck!
Congrats and good luck.
Never heard of Adams.
Looked it up, very reasonable tuition. I don't miss grad school. I miss the girls. I was going to ask you how are the girls, but given you are 1400 miles from campus, and doing online - I suppose it doesn't matter .
Will you be working while going to school?

It's a hybrid program where you go to Colorado for two summers. The girls were great!
Good luck man, give 'em hell!
and congrats on the graduation!

I always fantasized about being a psychologist, like Kramer, and have a nice couch and have affairs with my troubled clients

Congrats! It's an adventure for sure. I went back for my MBA a couple years ago.
Congrats.
My son did a 5 year grad program and then a 2 year research project.
surprisingly it flew by quickly and he's where he wants to be now.
