Cruising through Grass Valley CA I spotted this. It took a second for me to get it.
Nice. I still want to go all bosozoku on a vehicle someday. Come to think of it, there's no reason I couldn't do it to the T&C...
I'd gladly take bosozoku over stance/hellaflush. More funny, less serious.
(BTW, technically it's a "kaido racer" with cars, "bosozoku" is the same kind of style on bikes.)

When I was living in Japan in college, the times I encountered Bosozoku, they were always on bikes. I never heard the term used with cars until fairly recently in the states.
Bobsozoku where I lived were teenagers who got drunk and rode around fairly slowly late at night on bikes with straight pipes revving them to 10k rpm+ constantly. The objective was to wake up and irritate as many people as possible.

Huh.....sounds like Bikeweek in Daytona.
It's funny that the bosozoku/Shakotan thing took so long to catch on on the states. I remember seeing a boso Celsior on one of those "LOL look at this rice" type of pages (can't remember the specific name) around 1999 and quietly thinking to myself "that's kinda cool".
i always thought bosozoku had more in common with punkers. Unless you mean the immediately post-war bosozoku... that was a different breed back then.

Oh so that is why my neighbor does that!
