Wow, Brule retires and no new Engine Masters episodes.  I'm happy for the guy, but this is teh suck...

Well, what haven't the covered by now on Engine Masters? And you've still got Richard Holdener on YouTube.

Going to a subscription model was their downfall. I understand why, but I think those shows would still be around if they were on YT and monitored that way.

No shortage of "We're gonna lose the shop!" shows though.

Yeah, I feel like the show had kind of run it's course to a certain degree. I had started out watching every episode, but near the end it was one good episode and four "Haven't they done this already?"

Congrats to Brule on the retirement, though. He's a cool dude, and I loved his willingness to roast Dulcich at a moment's notice.

I'm going to miss Engine Masters. I've seen every episode and I've learned a lot from them. I'm happy for Steve though and I hope he enjoys his retirement.

I really enjoyed Engine Masters and learned alot. Since it was very techical I can see why it would a tougher sell to the casual viewer who is looking for pretty paint jobs, fancy wheels and drama. Enjoy your retirement Steve!

I mean... there ARE other motors than V8's.....

(I have not watched all of them, but the ones I have seen have been all V8's)

MT is dying away, one piece at a time.  Fortunately, a lot of the MT shows' former hosts have started their own YouTube channels so their content lives on.  Having said that none of them (so far at least) have access to a dyno, so it will be too bad to see Steve gone.  I do wish him well in retirement.
